Blackjack is a widely enjoyed card game where the goal is to get a hand value as close to 21 as possible without going over. The game typically uses one or more standard decks of cards, with each card having a designated value: numbered cards are worth their face value, face cards (kings, queens, and jacks) are valued at 10 points, and aces can be worth either 1 or 11, depending on what benefits the player most.

Each round starts with players placing their bets, followed by the dealer dealing two cards to each player and two to themselves, with one card face-up. Players then decide whether to "hit" (take another card) or "stand" (keep their current hand) to improve their chances of reaching 21 without "busting" (going over 21). The dealer follows specific rules, usually hitting on 16 or lower and standing on 17 or higher.

If a player's hand is closer to 21 than the dealer’s or if the dealer busts, the player wins the round. Blackjack blends strategy and luck, offering an exciting experience for both newcomers and seasoned players. Its quick pace and the potential for large wins make it one of the most popular casino games in the world.
